Thematic walking tour of Khamovniki with a visit to the wooden estate of Lev Tolstoy.
Tolstoy's estate in Khamovniki is a quiet corner in the middle of a bustling metropolis. A place where time seems to have stopped, and it is not difficult to get from the rapid XXI century to the XIX. A cozy house, a wooden fence and a quiet Park that can tell guests a lot of interesting things about their former owners. Here the classic lived for 19 years and wrote more than 100 works. Here everything remains as it was during his lifetime, and more than 5 thousand authentic exhibits breathe the memory of their great master.
The history of the market in the Khamovniki district dates back to the 19th century, from the merchants Usachevs, in whose honor the street where the market is located is named. The historical past is preserved in the walls, decorated with old bricks of those times. In 2017, the market survived a rebirth. Today, in addition to the counters where products from Moscow and regional farms are presented, food courts from the best Moscow restaurateurs are located on it.
Optional: Dinner at the hotel.

“Moscow times of War and peace” bus tour, dedicated to the life and work of the great Russian writer.
Lev Tolstoy was a man of high moral values: Each of his works celebrates honesty, dignity and love. The Tolstoy era is an era of high ideals, now lost. But we have a unique opportunity to take a trip to the bright and beautiful world created by Lev Nikolaevich, and fully feel like the heroes of his works. In this route, we will visit places that are associated with the novel “War and peace”. Some houses became prototypes of the houses of the novel's characters, some buildings are connected with the history of its creation.
Time for lunch (lunch in not included).
Optional: Lunch at a local cafe / restaurant.
The fate of Lev Tolstoy is firmly connected with Moscow, where he stayed, learned to ride a bicycle, wrote diaries and settled the heroes of his works in Moscow homes. We offer to see only part of the buildings associated with the name of Lev Tolstoy and walk along the Arbat and Plyushchikha.
Optional: Dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Bus tour to the Tula region to the Museum-estate of L. Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”.
Yasnaya Polyana is the family estate of L. N. Tolstoy. The appearance of the estate, familiar to Tolstoy, which has largely survived to this day, took shape at the beginning of the 19th century under the writer's grandfather, Prince N.S. Volkonsky. In Yasnaya Polyana Tolstoy was born and spent most of his life. Today Yasnaya Polyana remains the same as Tolstoy knew and loved. The memorial landscapes of the estate (gardens, parks, ponds planted by Tolstoy forests), like the buildings of the late 18th – early 19th centuries, are maintained in their unchanged historical form.
The main memorial buildings of the estate:Lunch at the local cafe.
