ICE SKATING AT THE OUTDOOR CITY SKATING RINK IN “SEVKABEL PORT”

Sevkabel Port is a project to transform the historical “gray belt” of the Harbor of Saint-Petersburg into a public cultural and business space. Sevkabel Port opened in September 2018 and continues to develop. The pedestrian embankment with a view of the Gulf of Finland, which was opened by Sevkabel Port, is a new business card of the city. Every winter, the most romantic outdoor ice rink in Saint-Petersburg with a panoramic view of the sea is open on its territory.

There are much fewer tourists in the winter city, which means that you can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Medieval Russia. During the tour, you will find: the Sofia side, a walking tour of the Kremlin, the Detinets – “the stone chronicle of Novgorod”, the Saint-Sophia Cathedral, the Saint-Sophia Belfry, the monument to the 1000th anniversary of Russia, a theatrical interactive tour on the territory of the Yaroslav's courtyard, and many others.

Excursion to the museum of folk wooden architecture “Vitoslavlitsy”.

Four kilometers from Veliky Novgorod there is an amazingly beautiful village where no one lives – the museum of folk wooden architecture, the architectural and natural reserve of Vitoslavlitsy. On the threshold of the hut, you will be met by the hostess in a suit characteristic of the Novgorod village of the last century, smiling and talkative. She will show the yard and the vegetable garden, the hayloft and the cattle stalls, explain the purpose of all the items. On the gallery near the house, the masters will offer you souvenirs made of birch bark and wood, show you how to work with these materials. Twice a year, on Christmas and Whitsunday, holidays are held in Vitoslavlitsy. In winter, they ride down ice slides and on sleds, songs sound, ritual actions are played out.
