Tour of the museum-estate Spasskoye-Lutovinovo, closely connected with the life of the outstanding Russian writer Ivan Turgenev. During the tour you will learn interesting facts about the history of the Lutovinov family, the life of Ivan Turgenev. You will see the Church of Our Saviour’s Tranfiguration, built in 1809 and the construction of which was funded by the writer’s grandfather Ivan Lutovinov.

Take some time to relax or swim in the river.
The second part of the tour will take you through the old town of Mtsensk located on the banks of the Zusha river. The town features golden church domes and marvelous residential houses of the 19th century. The route will finally lead you off the paved track and onto the dirt road and narrow lanes.

The tour will take you through forests and ravines of the village Glazunovo which belonged to the Sheremetev family since the 17th century. At the beginning of the 19th century one of the Sheremetevs built in Glazunovo an outstanding estate: a stone palace with parquet, marble fire places, inlaid furniture, tiled bathrooms, a library, numerous pictures, a pipeline and artesian wells. Later you will learn the story of the first missioner of the pre-Mongol period reverend John Kuksha, a monk of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, enlightener of the old Slavic tribe “vyatichi”.
Return to the hotel.

Transfer from the hotel to Mtsensk railway station.
Depart from Mtsensk to Moscow by “Lastochka” train.
